Our Alteration Process
Bridal alterations are completed through a structured fitting process:
•First Fitting- Evaluation and alteration plan.
•Second Fitting-Adjustments and refinement.
•Final Fitting-Perfection review and finishing details.
Most bridal alterations require approximately 6-8 weeks depending on the complexity of the gown.
Additional Services
we also offer professional gown pressing and cleaning services for an additional fee. Please inquire during your fitting for more information about these services.
Bridal Consultation-$100
The bridal consultation has a value of $100.This covers professional evaluation, fitting time, and alteration planning. The consultation fee is non-refundable.
If you decide to leave your dress at the studio to begin alterations, the $100 will be applied toward your final alteration balance.
Dress Photo Submission
Please send clear photos of your dress to (bridalappointmentshillcountry@gmail.com) before your appointment can be reviewed.
Kindly include the following photos:
• One full front view of the dress
• One full back view
• One side view
In the subject line of your email, please include your full name. In the body of the email, briefly describe the alterations, your appointment will be reviewed and approved accordingly.
Deposit Requirement
To begin alterations, a 50% deposit of the total alterations balance is required at the first fitting. This deposit is non-refundable in the event of wedding cancellation, postponement, or if the client decide not to proceed whit the alteration process after work has begun.
Alterations begin only after the deposit received.
Important Fitting Requirements
Please bring:
•The exact shoes you will wear on your wedding day
•The undergarments you plan to use (bra, shapewear, etc)
Failure to bring these items may affect fitting accuracy.
Appointment Timing & Punctuality
Clients are expected to arrive 10 minutes before their scheduled appointment time.
The first fitting appointment has a maximum duration of one hour, as this appointment is essential all necessary adjustments.
Subsequent fitting may last up to one hour or less, depending on the work required.
Arriving more than 10 minutes late may require rescheduling.
If you are unable to attend your appointment, we kindly request that you only notify the studio at least 24 hours in advance so we may properly adjust the schedule and accommodate other brides.
Limited Responsibility
Hill Country Bridals & Alterations is responsible only for the area where alterations are performed.
We are not responsible for pre- existing damage, fabric weaknesses, structural issues, alterations previously performed by third parties, or any damages not disclosed to the studio prior to the commencement of work.
Additional Alterations & Body Measurement Changes
Additional changes requested after the initial alteration plan has been established may result i additional charges.
If body measurements change during the alteration process and further adjustments are required, additional charges may apply.
Alteration pricing is based on the measurements and requirements evaluated at the time of the first fitting.
Garment Pickup, Storage & Abandonment Policy
Garment must be picked up on the agreed scheduled pickup date.
If a garment is not collected within 30 days after the scheduled pickup date, a storage fee of $50 per week may apply.
If a garment remains uncollected 90 days after the scheduled pickup date, and no prior communication has been made with the studio, it may be considered abandoned property. At the time, Hill Country Bridals & Alterations will be released from any further responsibility for the garment.
If you anticipate any delay in pickup, we kindly ask that you contact the studio in advance so we may be informed accordingly.
Agreement
By scheduling an appointment with Hill Country Bridals & Alterations, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to all policies, terms, deposit requirements, and conditions outlined above. Scheduling an appointment constitutes acceptance of these terms.
